De Maatschap is an Amsterdam, The Netherlands, based research group consisting of academics, practitioners, students and interesting people.

Our focus is on the foundations and fundamentals of information, knowledge and learning. Sociality is our key concept. Our inspiration stems from economics, sociology, technology, arts, architecture and design.

As a group, we enjoy diversity, creativity, rigor, relevance and the joy of science.

Every tuesday, De Maatschap meets at the Boulevard Cafe in Amsterdam for an informal meeting.

 

Members of De Maatschap have published extensively individually and as a team in various (international) books and journals.
